I had a fun time at the Seattle Boat Show yesterday. I got to meet Deborah Bach, host of this blog, so that was a special treat. I recommend you go to the show, it is pretty exciting. Currently, events can be added to ‘Boating Events’, but not to ‘Northwest Maritime Heritage’. Last month, I added events to both calendars, but it would seem to make more sense to have everything on one calendar, both for those inputting events, and for the general public viewing them. Hi Alice.
I can add a new category for Maritime Heritage events, so they are easy to search and sort. I’ll do that today. You can put events in more than one category, so you should do that. For example the Chantey sing could go in both Performances and Maritime Heritage.

I added an event and included the ’Maritime Heritage’ category. However, this does not show up on the ’Northwest Maritime Heritage’ group page, which has 0 events.
Is there another step which I should take?
Hi Alice.
If you log in to the site before you post an event, the event form will have a drop down menu near the top that will allow you to pick a group to associate the event with. That should do the trick. Let me know how it works.
