Using Your Radar – Free Seminar

At a glance:
Feb. 29, 2012 | 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM

Taught with the aid of a radar simulator.

Making good use of radar is not intuitive; there is a learning curve to climb which is easier when you can see best practices in motion on the radar simulator. It gives the beginner a big boost and still provides new insights for those with some experience.

Radar is a little like riding a bike: you finally have to start using it to train your brain. This seminar makes building experience in good weather a lot more productive, so fog and night cruising become natural.

Presented by Bill Ray, national award-winning instructor from the Seattle Sail & Power Squadron, who has been cruising the Pacific NW in a trawler since 2001.
