Northwest Coast Guard crews were kept busy this weekend helping to rescue eight people in distress from the Oregon Coast to the San Juan Islands.

In the San Juans the Coast Guard rescued six stranded boaters from the Juan De Fuca Strait after their vessel ran aground at approximately 5:30 a.m. Sunday.
