Sea lion chases sailboat near Seattle

Really, does the novelty of seeing sea lions, harbor seals or porpoises swimming alongside your boat ever wear off? I don’t think so.
Three Sheets reader Frederick Savoye filmed this playful sea lion as he chased Savoye and family’s 40.5 Hunter, Pardon My French, while they crossed Puget Sound heading to Blake Island on the Labor Day weekend.
The sea lion followed the boat for at least 10 minutes, Frederick said, swimming under it and playing around the stern and bow. What a treat. Thanks for sharing!

isn’t that your basic Harbor Seal? It sure looks like one.

They’re so cute I would probably just hand the salmon over.

They follow all the recreational fishermen around waiting to snatch that hard won salmon off your hook. Ask me how I know this!
